The International Radio Medical Center (C.I.R.M.) offers free medical assistance at distance to vessels underway without a doctor on board, in close coordination with the Coast Guard Headquarters for rescue operations. The service has been extended also to the world of yachts and pleasure crafts, in order to reach those who put to sea for sport
and pleasure more efficiently.

The C.I.R.M. advises all sailors not to underestimate the benefit of immediate “tele”-medical advice: before taking to sea, to avoid complications on board; and underway, to reduce the risks and difficulties arising from emergencies in sea.
