Sport fishing is allowed with the following equipment:
- small fishing net on a rod, square fishing net (with the side not
longer than 6 m);
- dragnet or bell-net with a perimeter of not more than 16 m;
- fixed lines such as fishing rods (max. 5 for every fisherman) with
not more than 3 hooks, dead fishing lines, bottom fishing rods, hand-fishing
rods with cork, with not more than six hooks, lines for cephalopods;
- surface and ground draglines, long lines for coastal fishing;
- disc floaters for surface fishing, underwater rifle, hand spear,
rod forcephalopods;
- fixed or drifting suspended fishing tackle with a maximum of 200
hooks dropped from each pleasure craft, however many people are on
board;
- maximum of two fishpots/lobsterpots, suspended from each pleasure
craft, however many people are on board;
- “rakes” for foot use;
Fishing with light sources is forbidden.
Sports fisherman may catch fish and molluscs (cephalopods, squid, octopuses and calamari) and shellfish in a daily quantity of maximum 5kg, except when the single fish is heavier: the sale of the catch is forbidden. Not more than one grouper fish, may be caught in one day.
